Impact on teaching and learning

Fundación Mier y Pesado's mission includes the effective training of young people to contribute to Mexico's development by focusing on pedagogical innovation . This feature is embodied in two schools of differentiated education in Mexico City.

His career in education

With more than 100 years of experience and tradition, its educational model has the objective that girls, boys and young people are formed integrally to be happy and in this way contribute to the happiness of others; and that at the end of their studies they are equipped with the tools to decide their future and be self-sufficient.

Currently, they are immersed in the elaboration of a strategic planning and in the redefinition of their educational model. Although the essence of its founding ideology is maintained, they seek to modernize their educational methods with the latest tools and solutions for pedagogical innovation.

This strengthens their pedagogical practice 

In this process, they use the TeachersPRO virtual environment and receive support from the Escalae Institute, whose purpose is to assist them in the revision and updating of their educational approach. This involves the implementation of a participatory model in the classroom, based on pedagogical agreements among teachers grouped in learning communities.

Some of the activities
developed so far include:

  1. Conduct a pedagogical self-diagnosis to determine the degree of progress in the educational transformation process.
  2. Implement the strategic pedagogical innovation plan (PEIP).
  3. Begin the implementation of the common work guideline (PTC1) in each of its two campuses, on formative assessment and on learning spaces.
  4. Design the new common work guideline on digital teaching competencies (PTC2).
  5. Follow-up sessions / accompaniment to directors and faculty throughout the course for the implementation of these methodological agreements in the classroom.

We promote the design of learning environments that encourage the active participation of the educational community and provide pedagogical support to ensure quality education. Our institution is committed to continuous professional development, promoting the creation of learning communities and the integration of educational gamification as a pedagogical tool.
