Learning Challenges you can follow at TeachersPro:
COMPETENCY-BASED PLANNING

This challenge develops the competency:
Setting Objectives
Learning to plan and teach by competencies is an increasingly important basic teacher training need that you can improve with this Challenge. Because these days it is essential to design teaching objectives, content and activities, and align them with the institutional educational objectives, but being realistic and adapting their acquisition to the available teaching time and to students’ learning abilities, as well as scheduling, teaching and assessing the curriculum contents in an interdisciplinary way to facilitate situated, integrated and contextualised, in other words, competency-based, learning.
THINKING SKILLS AND ABILITIES

This challenge develops the competency:
Learning Management
These are mental processes and abilities that enable the individual to develop the ability to observe, analyse, reflect, synthesize, infer, compare and be creative. These abilities are focused on adaptation to their environment, problem solving and decision making.
ADDRESSING DIVERSITY

This challenge develops the competency:
Timing
Diversity has often been seen as a difficulty, but we should consider it an advantage, if we make the most of its wealth of variety, and if we create a suitable sequence and timetable of the content, planning learning that takes the diversity of students’ abilities and knowledge into consideration, and designing flexible teaching intervention proposals; all depending on the learning dynamic and training needs that arise in the daily activity of the classroom. To achieve this more effectively, in this Challenge we offer you techniques and instruments that will enable you to master this new way of planning and address diversity in the classroom.
AUTONOMOUS LEARNING

This challenge develops the competency:
Learning Process
Through this Autonomous Learning Challenge, you will learn to create suitable conditions so your students can learn to learn, determining the necessary incentives for them to achieve your proposed objectives, awakening their interest, motivation and curiosity to achieve new learning and in this way giving daily class activities a collective sense.
EMOTIONAL EDUCATION

This challenge develops the competency:
Interpersonal Relationships
Coined by Peter Salovey and John Mayer and widely used by the psychologist, philosopher and journalist Daniel Goleman, this term can be briefly defined as the ability to feel, understand, control and modify one’s own and others’ moods.
COACHING IN THE CLASSROOM

This challenge develops the competency:
Time management
This challenge will facilitate the formulation and development of learning to achieve effective time management and to meet students’ individual learning needs, designing experiences and using constructive feedback, while learning to apply coaching techniques, active listening strategies and questions that contain stimulating challenges in individual or group conversations, which enable, encourage and improve learning.
LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

This challenge develops the competency:
Learning Environments
This challenge will allow you to develop the skill of applying organisational structures and dynamics for peer-to-peer student interaction, which facilitate awareness, management and reflection on emotions to promote educational communication that enables the necessary environment of safety and trust to be created for students’ effective participation and involvement in classroom decision-making.
DIGITAL TEACHING COMPETENCY

This challenge develops the competency:
Teaching Resources
Through the Digital Teaching Competencies Challenge you will learn to design, choose and implement technological resources that help strengthen, develop and enrich the teaching-learning process, applying different and innovative methods to generate knowledge, encourage motivation and increase students’ expectations, based on the quality of their learning.
GAMIFICATION OF LEARNING

This challenge develops the competency:
Teaching Resources
The Gamification of Learning Challenge aims to develop teaching skills to motivate students, using familiar language and tools to take advantage of the strength of expressing ideas through drawing and images (visual thinking), organising participatory experiences of educational games, developing a visual language and making it entertaining through techniques, such as the creation, recreation and narration of motivating stories (story telling) that provoke emotions and increase empathy and trust, and for teachers and students to reflect together on the work done.
LEARNING STYLES AND RHYTHMS

This challenge develops the competency:
Contextualisation of learning
With this Challenge you will find answers for how you should teach so students learn, through the suitable and systematic use of personalised teaching approaches that implement all the intelligences we have, through global and cross-curricular teaching approaches, and teaching activities that facilitate and develop the diversity of teaching styles that our students have and need to develop.
MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

This challenge develops the competency:
Contextualisation of Learning
Howard Gardner proposed that, in reality, humans have different kinds of intelligences that we develop to a greater or lesser extent throughout our lives. He proposes seven intelligences, although now he speaks of eight, with the possibility of adding a ninth.
LEARNING SPACES

This challenge develops the competency:
Centre Activities
This Challenge aims to teach you how to make the most of the available spaces in the classroom and in the education centre, using all the resources and supports at your disposal for learning, designing practical and creative spaces that also facilitate self-learning, that enable suitable and flexible use according to the objectives that are to be achieved and students’ training needs. And also to give students the opportunity to co-create to benefit from all the possibilities that their imaginations allow, to take advantage of any corner of the centre and the classroom; an extraordinary way to promote and develop their creativity and learning.
PERSONALISING LEARNING

This challenge develops the competency:
Monitoring and tutoring
This Challenge provides the learning and development of the necessary skills for the in-depth study of the complex task of accompanying students in their personal learning process, in a practical and logical way. All to establish learning processes that adapt to each student’s needs and interests, as well as providing intrinsic and extrinsic motivation they need throughout the long and complex process of comprehensive personal development.
COMPETENCY-BASED ASSESSMENT

This challenge develops the competency:
Assessment

LEARNING COMMUNITIES

This challenge develops the competency:
Teaching Organisation
The objective of this Challenge is to develop skills to identify and apply the best way to teach and learn, involving the whole education community, using the different alliances of the education centre as teaching resources, and developing a self-analysis system of the teaching that focuses on the classroom, which enables continuous improvement, both individual and collective, aimed at increasing each student’s performance.
